Clearly iStamp Digi :: Thinking of You

I have been away for quite sometime...my kids and I took a mini-vacay this fall break with my hubby's family in California and it was so relaxing that I really didn't want to come back just yet, don't you just love when you don't need a vacation from  the vacation? I know that I do!

Anyway, I haven't been able to check in on any of my favorite blogs for about a week but I did check Clearly iStamp by Lori when I returned and she had this great digi image tutorial and she challenged her readers to use one of her Clear Dollar Stamp digis to create something.  So here is my contribution:

The front of the card.

This is the first tri-fold card I have ever made, another first is the stitching! I don't have a sewing machine but I do have a hand held stitcher by Singer and I thought I would give it a shot that's why it is so crooked!  LOL!!

The inside flap

The inside pockets in the tri-fold
The removable tags in the inside pocket
 Ingredients:
Free Digi Image: Clear Dollar Stamps - Snow Crocus
Clear Dollar Stamps: Thankful for You
Designer Label Dies by Clear Dollar Stamps
Inked Edges: Clear Dollar Stamps - Red Velvet Ink
Kraft Cardstock, Vintage Cream, and Ocean Blue, Red Cardstock from American Crafts
Polka Dot Cardstock from Scrap
Various Copic Markers

Verve World Card Making Release Challenges::Super Duper Fun!

Hi Everyone!  I was up late last night just scrapping away, for some reason I just couldn't fall asleep...oh well, I really miss my hubby...sigh. Anyhow, I do have some created musings that were completed yesterday: The Verve Stamps World Card Making Release Challenges!  Yeah, me! Here are the rules:

1.Make a new card or creation inspired by the sketch.
2. Upload a photo of your creation to your blog or other public online gallery and mention that it's for the Verve World Card Making Day Release challenges.
3. Add the link to your photo to the linky form entry for the corresponding challenge.
4. If you participate in all 5 challenges, be sure to come back here and leave a comment to let us know!

I wanted all of my cards to have a theme or similar colors so I used the Cosmo Cricket Paper Pad named: Togetherness. All of my cards used Verve Stamps, which is not a requirement but I just love the designs and versatility so I used them.  I hope you like them!

What's the Scariest Part of Halloween?::Clearly Inspired Challenge #18

Running out of candy!! LOL!! The rules for the Clearly Inspired Challenge have changed a bit but that's okay, they provide their readers with plenty of free digital images they can use. To visit their challenge blog go to: http://www.clearlyistamp.typepad.com/

For this challenge the rules are to use black and orange with the option of purples.  However, you must use a Clear Dollar Stamp image...if I would have read that the first time, I would have been more prepared! So I made a door hanging with some clear, thick acetate that I had laying around.  The front side looks like this:

Here is a close-up:
